Mrs. Ruth Ragan Hayes of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Extendicare Health Center. She was 88.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Kinsey, Alabama with Brother Steve Skidmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.
Contributions may be made to the Cloverdale Baptist Church, 806 Dexter Street, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
Mrs. Hayes was born on December 18, 1926 in Fort Gaines, GA. She was a charter member of Cloverdale Baptist Church in Dothan. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them and she enjoyed her gardens.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ed Hayes.
She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Starling (Jackie); Gail Hutto (Tommy) both of Headland; two sons, Joe Hayes (Sharon) and Danny Hayes (Lila) both of Dothan; six grandchildren, Natalie Hutto Wright (Derek), Matt Starling, Brad Hayes (Christina), Thomas Hutto (Janie), Ragan Hayes Whittington (Kyle) and Hayden Hayes; and six great-grandchildren, Hayes and Ivey Wright, Caroline and Carson Hutto, Austin Hayes and Lila Whittington.
The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare for their loving care of Mrs. Hayes for the past four years.
