Mrs. Sara Lee Williams, 81, of Enterprise AL, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Flowers Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was fortunate to be surrounded by loving family and friends during her final days.


 


A celebration of Life Service will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2016 with Dr. Michael Mynatt and Rev. Jim Duhaime officiating.  A family and friends visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise.  The family will also be receiving family and friends at Hillcrest Baptist Church on 16 June, one hour before the service at 2:00. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery, Enterprise, AL.


 


Mrs. Williams was a faithful, serving member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she had been involved in many ministries, her favorites including the Children’s ministry, vacation Bible School and their Media Center.  She loved her family and was a faithful wife of over 61 years to her husband Joe Williams also of Enterprise AL.  Her serving heart was evident to all, especially when she made some of her famous banana pudding or pecan pie.


 


She is preceded in death by her mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Theo Lee Sr.; her mother and father-in-Law Mr. and Mrs. JT Williams; her sister Evelyn Nolin; her daughter Karen and her son Captain Joe Harrell (Hal) Williams Jr, USAF.


 


She is survived by her husband, Joe Harrell Williams Sr.; her son Col Thomas Lee Williams (Ashley), USAF of West Richland, Washington; brother Theo Lee (Peggy), Daleville, AL; sisters Robbie Boykin of Crestview, FL, and Christine Hartzog (Jerry) of Slocomb, AL; sister-in-law Geraldine Gilmore of Bayspings, AL.  Grandchildren include:  Noah Thomas Williams, Carson Luke Williams, and Canneydy Cindy Ounsombath.  Many close and special family and friends.


 


Pall Bearers will be her nephews:  Doug Lee, Paul Nolin, Bates Gilmore, Josh Hartzog, Charles Boykin and Guy Boykin.


 


In lieu of flowers the family asked donations to be made in memory of Sara Williams to the Hillcrest Building Fund or Media Library fund.
