Mrs. Sarah Mae Lawhorn King of Tom Fain Road, Chancellor, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 22, 2013.  She was 82.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Hughvon King, Rev. Red Coleman and Hospice Chaplain Chris Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in the Friendship Community Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 24 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.

Mrs. King was born July 30, 1930, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Henry Robert and Edna Morrell Lawhorn.  For several years she was a member of the Geneva Senior Center where she enjoyed the fellowship and activities.  Mrs. King loved the Lord and was dedicated to reading her Bible daily and lived her life accordingly, in His service and will.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  

In addition to her parents her husband, Ammie Will King, three brothers: Jack, Bill and Don Lawhorn, and a grandson, Michael Wayne King, II, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Mike King (Donna); a daughter, Susan King Harrell all of Chancellor; six grandchildren: Jeff King (Daniele), Judy King Dove (Todd), Aimee King McKinney (Dusty), Leslie Cutts (Kris), Samantha Harrell Sellers (Paul), Clint Owens (Amber); eight great-grandchildren: Alexia and David King, Daisy Robinson, Peyton and Cameron Dove, Braxton McKinney, Zander Sellers and Arianna Owens; other extended family and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their dedication and loving care that was given to their loved one.
