Shirley Benzel, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Henry County Rehab & Nursing Center. She was 79.

A memorial service will be held at Ft. Mitchell National cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Benzel was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Benzel.

Survivors include children, Kenny (Lisa), Jeff (Kathy), Cindy (Scott); grandchildren, Erica (Larry), William (BJ), Kaitlin (Eddie), Nicholas, Ryan and Katie; great grandchildren, Jake, Austin, Riley, Kellan, Kinley and Colton.
