Mrs. Teresa Howell of County Road 40, Chancellor, Alabama passed away Monday, September 30, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 58.


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Sister Pam Hall officiating and Sherll Mathews along with Sherel Crews delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the Howell Family Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 1, from 6 until 8 p.m.


Teresa was born August 9, 1955, in Holmes County, Florida to the late James Jordan and Myrtle Lee Stevens Tucker.  She was a 1973 graduate of Bethlehem High School.  She worked in the textile industry for 26 years and later was employed with the Magnolia Market as Head Cashier.  Teresa loved her husband dearly and enjoyed working with him in their garden and helping him with their quail farm.  She was a very loving and giving person and will be missed by all who were honored to be her friend.


In addition to her parents a brother, William Lee Tucker, and an infant sister, Martha Jean Tucker, as well a very special friend, Susan Dady, all preceded her in death.


Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Wallace Howell; daughter, Sherll (Michael) Mathews, all of Chancellor; four grandchildren: David (Char) Mathews, Steven Mathews, Brandi Mathews, Reagan Mathews (Matt Smith); three great-grandchildren: Ivie Mathews, Ivan and Austin Woods; two god children: Melissa (Todd) Dowling, Geneva; Matt (Ashley) Tucker and Parker, Hartford; one god grandchild: Mattie Sue Dowling; one brother, Ricky Tucker, Bonifay; four sisters: Joyce Maloy and Janice Klotd, both of Panama City, Delois Brannon and Mary (Doug) Morris, all of Bonifay; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be Randy and Rick Arnold, Henry Dady, Charlie Howell, Todd Dowling and Matt Tucker.
