Mrs. Thelma Olene Carpenter of Samson passed away Thursday, May 09, 2013 at Enterprise Health and Rehab. She was 82. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Ino Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.


 


Mrs. Carpenter was born in Elba, AL to the late Jessie James and Verbie Annie Sims Black. Mrs. Thelma was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for many years.


 


She is survived by one daughter, Cathey Adolphson (Steven) of Aurora, NC; one son, Joe Carpenter of Samson; six grandchildren, Crystal, Sierra, Daniel, and Madison Carpenter, Justin and Christopher Adolphson.
