Obituary:  Violet Reed

 

 

Mrs. Violet Reed of Enterprise passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by family. She was 90.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 in the Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory chapel with Reverend Jim Duhaime officiating.  Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m and continuing until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Library, 500 Alberta Street Enterprise, Al 36330, or The Grace Place Church Library, 5730 Shell Field Rd, Enterprise, Al 36330. 

 Mrs. Reed was born March 13, 1924 in Cairo, Illinois.  She was preceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Reed; one grandson, Sgt. Timothy Conneway; five sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Sally Conneway(Ken) of Enterprise; grandson, Mark Conneway (Emily) of Rayford, North Carolina; granddaughter, Cathrine Conneway-Gutierrez(Raul), of Whispering Pines, North Carolina, and six great-grandchildren.
