Obituary:  Virginia Sharp

Mrs. Virginia Sharp, of Hartford, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at her son’s residence surrounded by family. She was 64.

Memorial services will be at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Tonya Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm and continue until service time.

Mrs. Sharp was born June 14, 1952 in Houston County to Winerton and Susie Dowling Nolen. She was a member of Pondtown United Methodist Church as well as an operating room nurse at Flowers Hospital for 25 years. She loved life and her family. She also enjoyed fishing, and RV camping. Mrs. Sharp was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her father, Winerton Nolen.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the ALS association, PO Box 37022, Boone IA 50037-0022.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Russell Sharp, Hartford, AL; one son, Wade Sharp (Nicole), Enterprise, AL; her mother, Susie Nolen, Hartford, AL; one brother, Wendel Nolen (Regina), Hartford, AL; a niece, Lily Grace Nolen; two grandchildren, Nicolas Sharp, Colson Sharp, as well as multiple family and friends.
