Mrs. Vivian Martin Walden of Dothan passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. She was 83.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Woody Farrington officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday, September 10, 2015, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Senior Citizens Ministry

 

Mrs. Walden was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was involved in the Senior Adult Choir. She was a longtime member of numerous Bridge Clubs in the Dothan area and was a longtime friend and Ballroom Dance partner of Lt. Col. (Ret.) John H. Hodges.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Annie Lee Martin, husband Robert David Walden and brother, Charles Hugh Martin of Lakeland, FL.

 

Survivors include son Martin David Walden of Dothan; daughter Melinda Diane Walden Little and her husband Jeff of Acworth, GA; grandchildren Justin David Little, Michael Harrison Little, and brother Ronald Pate Martin of Summerville, S.C.
