Ms. Joanne Stanley Cornish, age 83, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday October 25, 2015 at the SAMC following an extended illness.

 Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday October 28, 2015 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Woody Farrington officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery (Hwy. 431 N.) with Kendall Glover directing.

 The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday October 27, 2015.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 901 Montezuma Ave., Dothan, Al. 36303.

 Ms. Cornish was born on October 9, 1932 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky the daughter of Edward & Virgie Ann Counts Stanley.  She moved to Dothan in 1971 from Abilene, Texas.  Ms. Cornish was a homemaker; a graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Tennessee and she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Ike and Ruby; 2 brothers, Carroll and Ray Stanley.

 Survivors include: daughter, Pamela Herring (Rodney), Port St. Joe, Fl.; son, Steven Cornish (Laura), Pearland, Tx.; daughter, Terri Burlingham (Tim), Cottonwood; daughter, Laura Kucinski (Steven), Bloomsbury, N.J.; son, David Cornish (Ginny), IndianLand, S.C.; brother, Ken Stanley (Kitty), LaGrange, Ga.; sister-in-law, Doris Stanley, Baltimore, MD.; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

 Pallbearers will be: David Cornish, Steven Cornish, Tim Burlingham, Rodney Herring, Steve Kucinski and Gregg Turnbull.

 Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
