Lota Gibson, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Noland Hospital. She was 78.

 

Memorial services for Lota will be held at 3 PM Friday, August 1, 2014 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Woody Farrington officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Activities at Calvary Baptist Church, 901 Montezuma Ave., Dothan, AL 36303.

 

Lota taught school at College Street Elementary in Enterprise for many years prior to her retirement in 1988. She has resided in Dothan for the last 20 years.

 

Surviving are two sisters, Betty Gibson, Dothan, Janis Price, Enterprise; brother, Robert (Cecilia) Gibson, Graceville, FL.
