Mary Catherine Brown, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at her home. She was 83.

Funeral services for Ms. Brown will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Pastor George Bogart officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the services.

Ms. Brown was born July 29, 1932 in Houston County to the late Marshall and Mandy Sims Bruner. She was a loving mother and caregiver who loved to cook and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of New Direction Church.

Ms. Brown is preceded in death by a son, William Brown and a daughter, Mary Janet Brown.

Survivors include four sons, Raymond Brown (Joyce), Midland City, Larry Brown, Tuskegee, Michael Brown, Englewood, FL, Robert Brown (Lynn), Dothan; two daughters, Carlene Starling (Roger), Avon, Emma Rodgers, Louisiana; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren

The family wishes to thank Jacob Brown, Samantha Brown and her fiancé, Ronnie Higgins and Juanita Metcalf for their love and care of Ms. Brown.
