Mrs. Sue Motley Hammond of Geneva, Alabama Passed away Monday August 22, 2016. She was 82.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016, in Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Bradley Chamblee officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Geneva with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continue until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to: Westside United Methodist Church, 1010 West Maple Ave., Geneva, AL 36340 or to the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Sue was born September 19, 1933 in Geneva County Alabama to the late Neal and Della Howell Motley.  Her husband Carl Max Hammond Sr., son Carl Max Hammond Jr. , brother James Neal Motley and  sister- in-law Carol Hammond also preceded her in death. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother especially to her grandson K.C. She and her husband lived and traveled to various parts of the U.S. including Chicago, Pennsylvania, Utah and Huntsville, Al. She was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Sumner and Kenney of Mesa, AZ one grandson K.C. Sumner of Tuscaloosa, Al, brother-in-law, Glenn Hammond of Geneva, AL., sister-in- law, Peggy Peel (Pittman) of Piedmont, AL., special nieces, nephews, her special friends and church family.
