HEADLAND. . .Myra Cochran Ready Adams, a former resident of Headland, died Saturday morning, December 12, 2015, in Westside Terrace, Dothan. She was 89.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Woodrow Farrington and Reverend Marcus Ramer officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church “Christmas  Fund”,  1679 East Main Street, Dothan, AL 36301.

            Mrs. Adams was born and reared in Henry County, daughter of the late Sam Cleveland Cochran and Reanie Desser Kirkland Cochran. She was a retired employee of Ansell, Inc. Mrs. Adams was affiliated with Eastside Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Ready and Milton Adams, a sister, Ruth Pitts, and a brother, Jack T. Cochran.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Myra Mathis (Larry), Dothan; and Shirley Smith (Joe), Headland; two sons, Jimmy Ready, (Laura), Wicksburg; and Phillip  Ready (Ronna), Dothan; a sister, Hazel Adams, Kinsey; a brother, Gaylon Cochran, Kinsey;  ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.     

            Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons and great-grandsons.
