            Mr. Myron Scott “Scotty” Hancock of Enterprise, AL passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Glen Carbon, IL.  He was 89.

            Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 7, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Jim Duhaime and Rev. Louie Reynolds officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1 pm and continuing until service time.

            Mr. Hancock was born June 24, 1924            in Beecher City, IL to the late George Wesley and Emma Belknap Hancock.  He was retired from the United States Air Force.  His wife, Billie Janice Hancock and a son, Joe Hancock, preceded him in death.

            He is survived by his son, Jerry Hancock, sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Carl Biggs, all of Glen Carbon, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
