Myrtle M. Williams of Samson passed away at her residence Friday, March 17, 2017 after an extended illness. She was 89.

 

The family will hold a memorial service at 2pm Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Bro. Bobby Enfinger and Bro. Allen Meyer will officiate.

 

The family specifically request that no flowers be sent. Love offerings be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 321, Black, AL 36314.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Bill” Williams; her mother, Liller E. Burket; her father, George Sellers; her sister, Libby Pierce; her brother, Willis D. Sellers.

 

Survivors include three children, Judy C. (Mickey) Hudson of Samson, William E. “Bear” (Lanell) Williams of Troy, and Mary E. Williams of Prattville; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; her longtime companion, Frank Godzak of Samson.
