Ms. Nancy Ann Hatcher Summers, age 77, a resident of Slocomb died Monday, June 3, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


 


Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Burns Church Cemetery with Brother Doug Dowdey officiating.  Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home will be directing.


 


The family will receive friends at Glover Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.


 


Ms. Summers was born on February 20, 1936 in Houston County.  She was the daughter of William Jesse and Ella Pitts Scott.  Nancy retired as a sitter in the Healthcare Industry and was a member of Burns Assembly of God Church.


 


She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ray Hatcher (1986); her second husband, Ralph Summers (2004); and several brothers and sisters.


 


Survivors include: Two sons, Roger (Shirley) Hatcher and Tim (Cheryl) Hatcher, both of Slocomb; two brothers, William Scott of Enterprise and Paul (Patricia) Scott of Dothan; five sisters, Annie Lee (Harvey) Hall, Rehobeth, Luverne (Lumie) Blackmon, Slocomb, Nina Weeks, Abbeville, Bonnie (Randall) Sykes, Dothan, and Diane (Ricky) Carver, Enterprise; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


 


Glover Funeral Home of Dothan is in charge of the arrangements.
