Nancy Ann Nordan Faison, 74, of Enterprise went to be with her Lord on September 10, 2016 after a lengthy illness.


Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at St. Luke United Methodist with Reverends Steve Warren and Ben Bowden officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the service time. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Park with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Day Spring Hospice, P.O. Box 311246, Enterprise, AL 36331 or St. Luke United Methodist Church Building Fund, 201 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Nancy was born April 1, 1942, daughter of the late Durward and Robbie Nordan. She was raised in Abbeville, AL and moved to Enterprise in 1962. A graduate of ESJC, Troy State University, & Auburn University with a Masters & A.A. in Education. Teaching children was her passion as Nancy retired from Fort Rucker Elementary School after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Luncheon Pilot Club & Literary Club. Her hobbies included reading, music, spending time with her grandchildren and her continuing love of animals. She was a faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her loving husband of over 55 years, Gene Faison; three children, Greg (Caroline) Faison of Houston, Texas, Laurie (Randy) Newton of Auburn, Kim (Trace) Snowden of Elmore, AL; a sister, Betsy (Ronnie) Smith of Anniston, AL; seven grandchildren, Wesley Faison, Matthew (Erica) Newton, Dylan Newton, Zachary Newton, Brandon Snowden, Kylie Snowden, Tiffany (Josh) Daniels; four great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the love and wonderful care shown during Nancy’s illness by her beloved friend and caregiver Versia McRae. Also a special thanks to Day Spring Hospice, especially Jeanette Sheldon and Belinda Wilder. Unspoken thanks to all their dedicated neighbors and friends.
