NARRELL  PALMER  BENEFIELD

DOTHAN…Narrell Palmer Benefield, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday morning, April 25, 2013, in Westside Terrace. She was 89.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 26, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Raymond McCubbin officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, between Headland and Columbia. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Baptist Church, 3551 Flowers Chapel Rd, Dothan, AL 36305.

            Ms. Benefield was born and reared in Dothan, daughter of the late George Albert Palmer, Sr. and Bernice Davis Palmer. She lived in Dothan most of her lifetime and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Ms. Benefield was preceded in death by two sisters, Elwin Gunnels and Eloise Scott.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Joyce Benefield McCubbin and husband, Raymond, Dothan; three sisters, Nell Davis, Kinsey; Betty Jeffries, Dothan; Fanchion Crosby (David), Dothan; two brothers, George Palmer (Sara), Opelika, AL; Warren Palmer, Slocomb; a granddaughter, Tana Pike (Brian), a great-granddaughter, Sheridan Pike; several nieces and nephews.
