DOTHAN. . .Norene Arnold Pearce,  a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday morning, January 21, 2015, in Westside Terrace. She was 92.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Brother Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 1401 N. Cherokee Street, Dothan, AL 36301.


            Mrs. Pearce was born in Newville and reared in the Headland area. She moved to Dothan in 1943, where she was a member of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Pearce was retired as a secretary from Higgins Electric Company. Mrs. Pearce was preceded in death by her father, Walter T. Arnold, her mother, Anna Arnold Farmer, her husband, Brooks Pearce, a son, Ted Pearce, a daughter-in-law, Collen Pearce, three sisters, Mavis Burgess, Ruby Douglas, and Blondell Douglas, three brothers, Harold Arnold, Dr. Lawrence Arnold, and Hubert Arnold.


            Surviving relatives include two sons, Bill Ed Pearce (Gwen), and Fred Pearce (Linda), sisters-in-law, Martha Arnold and Doris Arnold, all of Dothan; eight grandchildren, Steve Pearce (Carmen), Alan Pearce (Anna), Cindy Odom (Scott), Craig Pearce (Gina), Amanda Cotton (Tommy), Jerry Pearce (Laura), Jason Pearce, and Jennifer Pearce; sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
