OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348

Mr. Jerry Wade Hughes, 48, of Ozark, formerly of Enterprise, died May 18, 2016, at his home.

A memorial service for Mr. Hughes will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, May 23, 2016, from Union Grove Baptist Church in the Battens Community of Coffee County with Reverend Randall Pearson officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.

Mr. Hughes was born October 2, 1967 in Coffee County.  He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1985, from Mobile College with a Bachelors Degree, and a Masters Degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary.  He graduated from Jefferson State College in Birmingham with a degree in funeral service, becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer.  Wade worked for several years at funeral homes in Montgomery, Prattville, and Pensacola, Florida.  Currently Wade was a funeral director and embalmer for Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Sara Hughes, Leroy and Ruth Boutwell.

Survivors include one daughter, Lindsey Hughes of Pike Road, Alabama; his parents, Jerry and Yvonne Boutwell Hughes; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Jeanynne Hughes; one niece, Breana Hughes; and one nephew, Hunter Edgar Hughes  all of Enterprise.
