OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348


Mr. John David Parker, age 77, of  Spring Hill, Tennessee, formerly of Ozark, died  Friday, May 2, 2014.


Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, May 4, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Christian Eckert officiating.  Interment will follow with full military honors in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 12:30 P. M. until service time.


Mr. Parker was born July 20, 1936 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Lingo Parker and Fannie Bell Watkins Parker.  He served in the United States Air Force with one tour in Vietnam and later worked as an Air Force Recruiting Officer.  Mr. Parker also worked for over fifteen years with the State of Alabama as a Correctional Officer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Fran Snellgrove Parker in 1992.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Deah and Pat Lawrence of Prattville, AL;  one son and daughter-in-law, Dana and Julie Parker of Spring Hill, TN;     five grandchildren, John Parker, Emma Parker, Anna Parker, Dallas Lawrence, and Dakota Lawrence; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Carol Parker of Ozark; and one nephew, Alan Parker.
