OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348

Mr. Michael Richard Crooks, age 57, of Ozark, died Sunday, August 10, 2014.

A memorial service for Mr. Crooks  will be held at  11:00 A. M. Tuesday, August 12, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with reverend Robert Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 A. M. until service time, at all other times the family will be at the home of his brother, Tim Crooks.

Mr. Crooks was born October 19, 1956 in Dale County to the late Grover Cleveland Crooks and Nettie Jane Hamm Crooks.  He worked with various contractors at Fort Rucker before becoming a long-haul truck driver.  Mr. Crooks was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include one daughter, Hannah Marie Crooks of Ozark;

two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Shawn and Shannon Crooks, Richard Shane and Amber Crooks all of Ozark;

five grandchildren, Blake Cooper, Haylee Crooks, Richard Landon Crooks, Layton Read Crooks;

one sister, Cindy Crooks Johnson of Midland City;

two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Kaye Crooks, Steve and Nikki Crooks all of Ozark.
