OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348




Mr. Wallis Wayne Grissett, of Ozark, passed away at age 69, Saturday, November 2, 2013, in Dale Medical Center.


Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve King and Reverend Riley Enfinger officiating. Interment will be in Haleburg Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 9:30 A. M. until service time. 


]Mr. Grissett was born February 14, 1944 in Phenix City, Alabama. He loved to share his warm childhood stories of growing up there and in Columbus, later in Mobile where he graduated from Baker High School  in 1962.  He served three years in the Air Force and graduated from the University of South Alabama. In his business, Gulf States Accounting, he served many by business management consulting and tax preparation.  He loved attending Ozark Baptist Church where at times he sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Eunice Grissett; and one brother, Raymond V. Grissett, Sr. 


Survivors include his wife, Paula M. Pelham Grissett;  one son, Eckford Grissett;  two daughters, Wendi (Hyatt) Baker and Andrea (Brad) D’Ambrosio;  and  one brother, Larry Z. Grissett.  Four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also survive.
