OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS

Mrs. Betty Vedora McDaniel Sellers, 94, of the Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Center, died early Saturday morning November 1, 2014.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 4, 2014, (her birthday) in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Philip Dwayne Harrelson officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, November 3, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Mrs. Sellers was born November 4, 1919 in Dale County to the late Joseph Dennis McDaniel and Della Conner McDaniel.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She and her husband, Morris Clinton Sellers, owned and operated Seller’s Grocery near Daleville prior to her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Clinton Sellers; her siblings, Joseph Howard McDaniel, Lacy Aplin, JB McDaniel, Henry Delmer McDaniel and Harvey L. McDaniel. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Willie Paul Pickett.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane Sellers Pickett, Webb, AL;  one son, Daniel M. Sellers (Anna), Fort Worth, TX;  grandchildren,   Angela Sellers Hull (Darryl), Dallas, TX; David Sellers (Lisa), Ft. Worth , TX; Stephanie Sellers Limas (Joe), Dallas, TX; Clinton P. Pickett (Samantha), Enterprise, AL; Kathy Sellers, Ft. Worth, TX, Paula Kay Pickett Palmer, Webb, AL; twelve great grandchildren, Maribeth Parnell, College Station, TX; Heather Hull, Dallas, TX;  Colleen Limas, Dallas,TX; Megan Coakley, Dothan,AL; Kaylee Pickett, Enterprise, AL, Andrew Limas, Taiwan, Bayleigh Pickett, Enterprise, AL; Madison Sellers, Ft. Worth, TX, and twins, Miley and Mia Sellers, Ft. Worth, TX.;   one great-great grandchild, Daylen Owens, Dallas, TX;  and a special caretaker/family friend, Diane Blackstone.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Pallbearers will be David Sellers, Clinton Pickett, Steve McDaniel, Guy Harrell, James Blaine, and Gregory Sample.

The family would like to recognize the staff of Henry County Health and Rehabilitation in Abbeville, AL and the staff of Covenant Hospice Dothan, AL .The family will receive friends and family at the home of Betty Jane Sellers Pickett and Paula Kay Pickett Palmer in Webb, AL.
