Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 Mrs. Glenda Marie Langford Agerton, 78, of Ariton, died Saturday, August 13, 2016, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Brown and Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.

Mrs. Agerton was born February 16, 1938 in Dale County, Alabama to the late George Verbie Langford and Velma Fralish Langford. She had been an active member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church in Ariton all of her life.  She worked for several years in the tag office in Dale County.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bascom “Ted” Agerton; and one sister, Dorothy Cook.

Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Agerton of Ariton, Richard Agerton of Ariton, Randy and Krista Agerton of Skipperville; two grandsons, Matthew Gearheart and Liam Agerton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Carolyn Langford of Phenix City, Alabama and Gene and Carol Langford of Gallipolis, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, C/O  Mr. Larry Ezell, The Commercial Bank of Ozark, 208 South Merrick Avenue, Ozark, Alabama  36360.
