Mrs. Maggie Belmer Howard Emerling, 83, of Daleville, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at her home.

Funeral services will be graveside 10:00 A. M. Friday, September 30, 2016 in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.

Mrs. Emerling was born July 11, 1933 in Dale County to the late George Washington Howard and Nettie Margaret Moore Howard. She was the youngest and last surviving of ten children.  Mrs. Emerling lived a long life and will be missed by her family.  In addition to her parents, sisters and brothers, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. Thomley.

Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Thomley of Dothan; one son, Ronald Thomley (Samantha Childree) of Daleville; three grandchildren, Amellie Childree, Ciara Thomley, Joseph Thomley;  one great grandchild, Andrew Thomley  all of Daleville.
