OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK

Mrs. Mary Helen Gilley Williams, age 82, of Newton, died Friday, June 7, 2013, in Flowers Hospital.  Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, June 10, 2013, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Eugene Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. All other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, Mary and Ted Knight.  Mrs. Williams was born February 2, 1931 in Dale County to the late Walter Jake Gilley and Beatrice Mae Hartzog Gilley.   She retired following 13 years of service with Oakview Manor Nursing Facility.  She was a member of the Newton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Spurlock, Jessie Brown, and Thomas Edward Williams; two sisters, Minnie Carr and Sara Gilley; and one brother, Pat Gilley.  Survivors include two daughters, Maythlene Wainwright and Mary Jean Knight of Ozark;  two sisters, Frances Childree of Ozark and Catherine Ellis of Skipperville;  two brothers, Billy Gilley of Skipperville and Max Gilley of Ariton.
