OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK   ~  334‑774‑5348

     Mrs. Matred Sutton Barefoot, 86, of Ariton, died peacefully surrounded by her children on Thursday, May 2, 2013.  Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, May 5, 2013, from Bethel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jeff Downing and Pastor Brad Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Ariton Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Mrs. Barefoot was born October 5, 1926 in Barbour County to the late Needham Bryant Sutton and Vanty Ollie Jones Sutton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Barefoot; and her sisters, Jewell Posey, Bramma Ruple, Mavis Paulk, and Gladys Burke.  Survivors include her sons Terrell (Diane), Larry (Jo Ann),  and Danny (Merita); grandchildren Bebe Lloyd (Bill) , Scotty Barefoot (Cyndi), Rusty Barefoot (Amy), Nicki Hamm (Matt), Bart Barefoot, Wendy Reynolds (Tony), Marcie Jenkins (Haston), and Dan Barefoot; great-grandchildren Stetson Barefoot, Quincy Barefoot, Kye Hamm, Rustyn Barefoot, Shelby Barefoot, T. J. Reynolds, Hunter Reynolds, Paxton Jenkins, and Merideth Jenkins; and a very special great-great-great niece, Hatton Alums.
