OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348


Mrs. Myrle Hall Bell, of the Rocky Head Community, passed away September 30, 2014, at her daughter’s home. She was 93.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.


Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Weed and Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 12:30 P. M. until service time.


Mrs. Bell was born March 5, 1921 in Coffee County to the late James Albert Hall and Rabona (Bonnie) Wise Hall.  She was a member of Rocky Head Baptist Church where she was very active in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Mrs. Bell enjoyed quilting and working in her garden.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Horace Bell; her daughter, Jo-Kate Bell; her son, Donnie Bell; four sisters, Gertie Mae Blair, Gladys Foxworth, Foynell Brooks and Mattie Louis Rhodes, and one brother, Wilbur Hall.


Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Horace and Marzelle Bell, Aaron and Jeanette Bell all of Ariton; three daughters and one son-in-law, JoAnn Bell, Peggy Jamison, Tammy Watson and Mark Cordell all of Ariton; one sister, Univee Phillips of Kinston;  seventeen grandchildren, Janice Phillips, Marc Bell, Steve Bell, Cecily Hinton, Bellamie Price, Stephanie Lane, Clint Wise, Richard Wise, Holly Taylor, Barry Wise, Jason Keirnan, Paul Bell, Robin Bell, Brooke Hughes, Celeste Senn, Tyler Love and Maegan Watson.  Numerous great and great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends also survive.


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Head Baptist Church, 1983 Hwy 51, Ariton, Alabama  36311.
