Obituary For Dixie Day - Hayes Funeral Home REVISED

Dixie Day age 88 of the Piney Grove Community passed away Monday, July
6, 2015 at Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center & Nursing Home in Geneva,
Alabama. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church
of Samson on Thursday, July 9, 2015 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Philip
Craddock and Rev. Andy Blackmon officiating. Committal services will follow
in the Piney Grove Community cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral
Home. Visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church of Samson on
Thursday morning, July 9th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Her grandsons will
serve as pallbearers during the services. Flowers will be accepted or those
wishing to make memorial contributions are ask to do so to Samson Rescue,
c/o PO Box 22, Samson, AL 36477, or to a charity of your choice.
    Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her Parents- James Franklin and
Savannah Irene Bowdoin, her husband - John Henry Day, a son - Julian Day,
daughter-in-law Christine Day, and a son-in-law Dennis Finch.
    She is survived by Sons - Mark Day, John Daniel Day,  Weaver "Hamp"
(Jeanne) Day, along with a Daughter - Diana Finch all of Samson, AL. She is
also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 

    Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Day family.
