Ora Thompson Nichols Casey, 68, of Enterprise, AL, passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends on November 14, 2012.


The family will receive friends on November 15th from 5 to 7 pm at Searcy Funeral Home.  A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on November 16th at 11 am at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Duhaime officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayhatchee, AL.  Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 10 Providence Lane, Daleville, AL 36322.


Born on July 9, 1944, in Holmes County, FL, she was the daughter of the late Paul Jones Thompson and Albie Madelyn Bullington Thompson of Clayhatchee, AL.


She graduated from Wallace Community College in March of 1996 and was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).  She was employed with Wiregrass Hospice until 2007 when she retired.  


She is survived by her husband, Don Casey; two children, Alan Wayne Nichols (Crystal) of Cartersville, GA, and Rebecca Massey Faulkner (Stephen) of Mobile, AL; six grandchildren, Elaine, Joey, Payton, Trinity, Cyrus and Kyla; her sister, Judy Thompson Howell (Ken) of Birmingham, AL and her brother, Thomas Wayne Thompson  (Barbara) of Montgomery, AL;  three stepchildren, Gary Casey of Enterprise, AL, Jeff Casey of Taylor, SC, and Emily Casey of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.


Ora was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother.
