Janice Patricia “Pat” Weeks of Kinston passed away at her residence on Thursday, July 31, 2014.  She was 67.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson. 

Mrs. Weeks was born in the Hacoda Community on March 13, 1947 to Alice Jones Cassady and the late Albert Cassady.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.  She also loved her cultivating her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Weeks of Kinston; two daughters, Ronda Mullins of Kinston and Carrie Weeks of Austin, Tex.; four grandchildren, Zane Weeks of Enterprise, Eli Mullins of Kinston, Zeb Weeks of Enterprise and Michaela Spinks of Austin, Tex.; mother, Alice Cassady of Samson; brother, Wetzel Weeks of Columbus, Ga.; and two sisters, Cindy Bradshaw and husband, Lomax of Jack, Ala., and Alethea Cassady Gilmore of Alabaster.
