PATRICIA  POUTRE’ PALMER


 


ABBEVILLE. . .Patricia Poutre’ (Pat) Palmer, a resident of Abbeville, died Sunday night, March 16, 2014, at her home following an extended illness. She was 75.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ryan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 A.M. Wednesday at the mortuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302 or to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Katie Rotton, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.


            Mrs. Palmer was born and reared in Albany, New York, daughter of the late Joseph F. Poutre’ and Simone M. Pelletier Poutre’. A resident of the Hardridge Creek Community of Henry County since 1977, she formerly lived in various locations in the United States and also California while her husband served in the United States Air Force. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eufaula. In earlier years, she was employed by the IGA in Abbeville. Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Palmer, three sisters and four brothers.


            Surviving relatives include four daughters, Kathy Palmer Edenfield, Mobile; Pamela Palmer Campano (Dominic), San Antonio, TX; Beth Palmer Hatcher (Randy), Abbeville; and Marie Palmer Rushing (David), Jefferson, GA; a sister, Dora Klose, and a brother, Sam Poutre’,  both of Albany, New York; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah Edenfield, Jessica Edenfield, Jennifer Edenfield McLean (Casey), Dominic Campano, Paul Campano, Christopher Paul (Brittany), Raven Turner, Jonathan Rushing, Christina Rushing Thompson (Jason); two step-grandchildren, Matt Hatcher (Victoria), and Morgan Hatcher; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Culp, Josslyn Pinzone, Noah Paul, Laurabelle McLean, Hazel Patricia McLean, Kaelyn Thompson, and Jacob Thompson.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Paul, Jeremiah  Edenfield, Jonathan Rushing, Dominic Campano, Matt Hatcher, and Brandon Turner.
