     Mrs. Pearlie Mae Presley Hughes of Enterprise passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at her daughter’s home in New Brockton.  She was 95 ½.

     Funeral services will be at 10:00 am of Saturday, September 13, 2014 from the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Reverends Huey Anderson, Bill Grimes, and Jim Richardson officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the chapel beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until service time.

     Mrs. Hughes was born March 11, 1919 in Coffee County to the late C.H. Presley and Lizzie Beth Presley.  She retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Service at Ft. Rucker after many years of service.  She had a devout love for yard work, her home, family and faith.

     In addition to her parents, her husband, J.O. Hughes; one sister, Lucille Brackin Thornton; two brothers, Melvin Presley, and Malcom Presley all preceded her in death.

     Survivors include her daughter, Faye Richardson (Jim), one son, Steve Hughes (Linda), grandchildren, Sandy Griffin (Leslie), Bob Gouge (Debbie), Cary Gouge (Darija), Damon Hughes (Amanda), Brandi Hughes (Brad), Sean Hughes (Brooke), great-grandchildren, LeAnn Andrews (Greg), Layton Griffin (Laura), Christopher Gouge, Cody Gouge, Andrew Hughes, Savanna Hughes, Emma Mae Hughes, future Olivia Hughes (December), Bradley Garrett, Bryson Philpot, Braelynn Philpot, Mason Hughes, McKenzie Hughes, great-great-grandchildren, Landon Winburn, Griffin Winburn, Connor Gouge, Cora Gouge, Arianna Gouge  and numerous nieces and nephews.
