ASHFORD…Ralph Wade Bowman, a resident of Ashford, died late Sunday night, February 21, 2016. He was 42.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Earl Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.

            Mr. Bowman was born and reared in Henry County, son of the late Ralph Bowman and Sarah Frances Farmer Bowman. He lived in the Cottonwood area before moving to Ashford. Mr. Bowman was employed as a roofer and in remodeling most of his adult lifetime.

            Surviving relatives include three sisters, Judy Cartwright (Mark), Ashford; Amanda Bowman (Jason Burdeshaw), Headland; Peggy Mccannon, Dothan; nieces and nephews, Steven Long, Mark Cartwright, Kailey Cartwright, Jessica Curry, Kelsey Curry, Sarah Thompson, Thomas Thompson and Erica Mccannon.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Mark Cartwright, Jason Burdeshaw, Ray Stinson, Mark Christian Cartwright, Doug Farmer and Rob Gokey.
