Rebecca Elizabeth Bowers of Geneva passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was 16.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at Mount Pleasant Assembly of God Church in Westville, Fla. with Pastor David Davis, Pastor Clyde Smith and Pastor James Lamb officiating.  Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at Mount Pleasant Assembly of God Church on Sunday, May 17, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Rebecca was born in Ozark, Ala. on April 8, 1999.  She attended Mt. Pleasant Assembly of God Church.  She was a student at Ponce de Leon High School until last year.  At the time of her passing, Rebecca had just completed the tenth grade at Geneva High School where she had been selected to play on the Lady Panther basketball team. She always made the A or A/B honor roll, and will forever be #35; the number she wore when playing basketball.  All who knew and loved her will miss Rebecca.

She is survived by her father, Reginald Bowers of Westville; mother, Liberty Landerman of Geneva; eight siblings; and her paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Jeanette Bowers of Westville.
