Reverend Charles L. Varnum, 79, formerly of Dothan, Alabama, widower of Sarah McCallister Varnum, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Signature Health of North Florida in Graceville, Florida.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Harper’s Joy Assembly of God Cemetery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Reverend Erik Varnum officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the services.

Born in Dothan, Alabama, Charles is the son of the late Leonard J. and Eunice Bradshaw Varnum. He was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God Church for thirty seven years prior to his retirement.

Surviving are a daughter, Marsheila Stark; a brother, Larry Varnum; three sisters, Glenda Lewis, Shirley Cureton, and Deloris Davidson; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
