REVEREND  PAUL  MALLORY

DOTHAN. . .Reverend Paul Mallory, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Headland, died late Thursday afternoon, August 29, 2013, in Noland Hospital Dothan. He was 84.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

            Reverend Mallory was born and reared in Dale County, son of the late George Thomas Mallory and Lillie Mae Bagwell Mallory. He lived most of his adult lifetime in Headland before moving to Dothan in 2010. Reverend Mallory retired as a Free Will Baptist Minister in July 2010. He served many Free Will Baptist Churches as its Pastor and interim Pastor in the Wiregrass area. Reverend Mallory was also self-employed as the owner and operator of Mallory Tax Service and Bookkeeping. In earlier years, he was employed by Patterson Hardware in Headland, and as an insurance agent. Reverend Mallory was a member of the Magnolia Free Will Baptist Church in Midland City, and formerly served as Moderator of the Southeastern Association of Free Will Baptists. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Mallory, and two brothers, Joel Bagwell Mallory, and Byron Thomas Mallory.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Thyra Brantley Mallory, a daughter, Judy Jarrett and husband, Don, and a son, Danny Mallory and wife, Pam, all of Dothan; two grandchildren, Joshua Mallory, and Molly Jarrett; a brother, Lewis Mallory and wife, Emma Jean, Dothan; sisters-in-law, Annette Mallory, Ozark; and Zelmodean Mallory, Midland City; several nieces and nephews.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Stacy Harper,
Ronnie Dobbs, Stephen German, Brian German, Tyler Thigpen, and Trevor Thigpen.
