Rex Gordon Bass of Enterprise, AL, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Medical Center Enterprise surrounded by his family.  He was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Warren officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 201 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, PO Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36331.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Gordon Bass.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Bass, Enterprise, AL; daughter, Becky Bass Mize (Steve), Argo, AL; son, David Bass (Sheryl), Santa Clarita, CA; 2 grandchildren whom he adored,  Madelyn and Sarah Mize,; sisters, Joyce Fitzgerald (Bernard), Sanford, FL, Shirley Dawson (Duane), Montgomery, AL, Pat Green (Nicky), Enterprise, AL; uncle, Bill Logan (Merle), Enterprise, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
