Mrs. Carol Adkinson, 70, of New Brockton, AL, passed peacefully at her home September 13, 2014, after battling a severe illness. 

Carol was born October 25, 1943, to the late T.J. and Clarice (Rudd)Adkison.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Adkinson and a brother, Nicky Adkison.   She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.  Carol was a loyal friend with a servant’s heart.  She was an extremely creative person with a great imagination and a wonderful sense of design.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Larry Adkinson; loving daughter, Tracey Adkinson; loving son, Stacy (Laura) Adkinson; precious grandchildren, Cory, Briana and Bradley; brother, Tommy (Belinda) Adkison; nieces, Chana Adkinson Forehand, Natalie (Jeremy) Sumrall; nephew, Josh (Lindsey) Adkison.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 5 until 7 pm, at Searcy Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Box 1708, Enterprise, AL 36331 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, P.O. Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36331.
