Mr. Richard Daniel Rankin of Samson, Alabama passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Flowers Hospital. He was 52 years old.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Level Plains Assembly of God, 1681 Joe Bruer Road, Level Plains, Alabama with the Rev. Cesar Ramirez officiating.

Mr. Rankin was born on November 7, 1963 in El Monte, CA. Richard worked many years overseas as an aircraft mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Richard enjoyed fishing. 

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Francis of Samson, AL; mother and step-father, Rosemarie Dowers (Earl) of El Monte, Calf; one daughter, Jessica Marie Rankin of Samson, AL; one son Jonathan English  two sisters, Carol Reid and Denise Mitchell; one brother, Michael Rankin and close loved ones Jennifer Bullis and her son Anthony McCrossin.
