Richard Goldsmith, 65, of Dothan passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at his residence.

Memorial services will be 2 pm Monday, July 14, 2014 at Temple Emanu-El with Rabbi Lynne Goldsmith officiating and Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Temple Emanu-El Building Fund, 188 N. Park Ave, Dothan, AL, 36303.

Mr. Goldsmith was born May 19, 1949 in Baltimore, MD and lived there the early part of his life. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and was a resident of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands for over 20 years prior to moving to Dothan in 2010. He was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Dothan.

Survivors include his mother Leah Goldsmith; his brother Robert (Lynne) Goldsmith; nieces and nephews, Michael (Stephanie) Goldsmith, and Daniel Goldsmith.
