Richard Grant Davis

 Richard Grant Davis passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 30, 2016 after a long illness.

Mr. Davis was born May 26, 1931 in Dana, Indiana. He served his country in the Korean War in the 25^th Infantry division, from 1952-1954. Richard moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1966, where he met and married Norma Louise Banning. He worked at the Sarasota Herald Tribune as an ad compositor and retired after 27 years. Mr. Davis was of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma.

He leaves his step-son, Terry Banning, wife, Valerie Banning, and grandson, Jordan Hawley and family.

Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street is in charge of the arrangements.
