ROBBIE  KATE  ODOM  COBB

 

HEADLAND. . .Robbie Kate Odom Cobb, a resident of Headland, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, May 11, 2013, at her home. She was 72.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 13, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend C.M. Holloway and Pastor Stan Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Cowarts Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, P.O. Box, 1045 Dothan, AL 36302.

            Ms. Cobb was born and reared in Houston County, daughter of the late Henry Odom and Dollie Lorraine Enfinger Odom. She lived most of her lifetime in Dothan before moving to Headland in 2009. Ms. Cobb was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Dothan. She was also a member of the American Women’s Business Association, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the Juvenile Conference Committee of Houston County. Ms. Cobb enjoyed dancing, fishing, camping, and loved gospel and country music. She loved and cherished her four children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were her life. Ms. Cobb was preceded in death by two sisters, Boncille Odom Arnold and Willie Mae Odom Ingram, and two brothers, Henry Espy Odom, and A.B. Odom.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Robbie Cobb Harden (Edward), Dothan; and Sandra Cobb Sanders (Ray), Athens, AL; two sons, Bobby Joe Cobb and Marvin Joe (Marty) Cobb, Jr., (Hailey), all of Dothan; two sisters, Bobbie Odom Cook (Eston), and Earline Odom Efurd, all of Dothan; a brother, Howard Odom (Eunice), Marianna, FL; six grandchildren, Heather Cobb, Henry Cobb (Camera), Morgan Harden Carroll (Justin), Demi Brightwell, Sydney Cobb, and Nathan Cobb; three great-grandchildren, Trevor and Cade Cobb, and Henry Cobb, Jr.; the father of her children, Marvin Joe Cobb, Sr., Ft. Walton Beach, FL; special lifelong friends, Shirley Knight, Bama Broxton, Ann Chandler, and Arthur Sallas; and a good friend and neighbor, Rebecca Harrison.

             Serving as active pallbearers will be Matt Barefield, Donnie Cobb, Jeff Cobb, Denny Pullen, Matt Smith and Terry Maxey.
