Robert B. Bolin, age 90, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Twin Magnolias in Abbeville.


 


Born March 5, 1923 in Geneva County to the late George Drew and Emma Locke Bolin, Mr. Bolin was the next to youngest of 12 children. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters.


 


Mr. Bolin served his country in the Army during World War II. He retired as a watch-maker having owned Tick Tock Jewelry and having worked at Ted’s Jewelry. Mr. Bolin will be remembered for his love of dancing, attending gospel sings, and fishing.


 


Survivors include his sons, Cyril Bolin, Douglas Bolin, and Rodney (Kim) Bolin; his daughters, Shari (John) Crawford and Siri (Jeff) Truesdale; his children’s mother, Ann Collins Bolin; 13 grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.


 


Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1 PM from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM.


 


The family will be accepting flowers.
