Robert Donaldson of New Brockton passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence.  He was 68.

 

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Nathan Sims and Reverend Hollis Bradley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Mr. Donaldson was born February 28, 1947, in Coffee County, Alabama, to the late William Jonah and Mertie Bell Hattaway Donaldson. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Donaldson; his half-sister, Donice Jones; 3 half-brothers: Bob Donaldson, Dwain Donaldson, and Mac Hodge; his father-in-law, Alfred Adkison.

 

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Donaldson of New Brockton; 2 sons: Daniel Donaldson (Toni) and Johnny Donaldson (Danielle), all of New Brockton; 5 grandchildren: Ashley Donaldson Berry (Logan) of Jack and Jacy Donaldson, Seth Donaldson, Emma Donaldson, and Tatum Griggs, all of New Brockton; 1 great-grandchild: Katie Beth Berry; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Adkison ; 2 sisters: June Newman and Adelia “Tuddie” Harrison (Wayne), all of Elba; his brother: Billy Donaldson of Elba; 2 brothers-in-law: Max Adkison of Center Ridge and Billy Adkison of the Bullock Community; 3 sisters-in-law: Kathy Donaldson, Melinda Stinson (Jerry) of Jack, and Margie Shafer (Jack) of Mary Esther, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and a world full of friends.
