Rev. Robert E. Grice of Kinsey died on October 25, 2013, at Flowers Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 68.

 

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 2:00 at Kinsey Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Anderson and Rev. Robert Smith officiating.

 

The family will receive from 1:00 – 2:00 on Sunday at the Church.

 

Rev. Grice was a graduate of Headland High School, Norman Park College, Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He began preaching at the age of 15 and was Pastor of Grace Harvest Church and the director of the Ark Mission. He preached in over 9 countries, and he especially had a heart for the homeless and less fortunate.

 

Rev. Grice was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Ella Grice.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ann (Peacock) Grice; son, Dr. Robert (Denita) Grice of Kinsey; daughter, Ann-Marie (Mark) Schwarz of Dothan; grandchildren; Heather Harbuck, Melissa, Taylor and Robbie Grice, Gabriella and Chamberlain Schwarz; a great-grandson, Brody Harbuck; a sister, Mary Walker of Abbeville and cousins; Lucy Summers of Wicksburg and Jonella Lien of Killeen, TX.

 

Serving as active pallbearers will be: Mike, Mark and Mickey Walker, Jeff Peacock, Wayne Brooks, Stacy Turner, Michael Douglas, George Ellison and Robbie Grice.
