Mrs. Rose Austin Shiver of Enterprise passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Enterprise.  She was 91.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at El Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Don Tew and Reverend Dave Hingson officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m. and continuing until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the El Bethel Building Fund, P.O. Box 506, Chancellor, AL 36316.

Mrs. Shiver was born October 27, 1922, in Geneva County, to the late Joe and Nita Chancellor Austin. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Shiver, her parents, Joe and Nita Austin and her brothers, Rex Austin, Roy Austin, and Billy Austin.

Survivors include her son, Steve Shiver (Jane) of Chancellor; her grandson, Andy Shiver (Leigh) of Enterprise; her granddaughter, Alison Sanders (Stephen) of Dothan; 5 great-grandchildren: Drew Shiver and Davis Shiver, both of Enterprise, and Austin Sanders, Harrison Sanders, and Allie Ruth Sanders, all of Dothan; special niece, Shirley Helms, and several other nieces and nephews.
