Rosetta Wiggins Strawder, age 72, of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

 

Mrs. Strawder who was born June 30, 1941 in Montgomery, AL. was preceded in death by her father Mr. Wilson W Wiggins and a son Rodney D Boatner. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for some 35 years. Some of her interests were gardening, cooking, crochet, and volunteering for the American Cancer Society.

 

Survivors include her husband, Charles Strawder of Dothan; daughter, Christy Strawder of Birmingham; son, Robert Boatner, Jr. of Dothan; mother, Lois M. Pate of Dothan; brothers, William Wiggins of Montgomery, James Wiggins of Baldwin Park, CA, and Tomey Wiggins (Bonnie) of Burbank, CA; a dear best friend and sister in love, Renda Houston of Dothan.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 3, 2014, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society,
